Publicity stunt. If he really wanted to commit suicide he wouldn't have took the pills right before his publicist was coming over.
It's unfortunate this ******* didn't succeed. He needs to come out of the closet or just kill himself. Nobody gives a **** if he's gay. |

I stand by what I say. This was a publicity stunt. Everything with this guy is. He has the mental and emotional capacity of a child who wasn't loved enough by their parents. |

DFW radio is reporting 30 plus pills and a suicide attempt. Heck, they better put Jerry Jones on suicide watch also.

suicidal people aren't thinking in a 'normal' way. after all, taking a human life, even one's own, is completely abhorrent to the vast majority of people. no one gets up and says, hey, i think i need some attention. i believe i'll try to kill myself. in other words, your idea about this is completely incorrect. and coldhearted. |

As a retired Dallas Firefighter paramedic, who spent my last 3 yrs as a dispatcher. When a call is received the disatcher catogorizes it as 1 of 7 situations and one of those is an overdose. An overdose includes just what it is an overdose but some other things it includes is a drug reaction[ which this probably is]. The designation of the type of call triggers some automatic procedures which sometimes include ,notification of the police. With my experience in dealing with similar situations, this is just an overreaction because its TO. Probably a bad reaction to the painkillers due to the lack of releif he got from them and taking more than perscribed. Trying to get relief. Media making a story when none is there.

I also wanna add that this was "journalism" at its worst.
Reporting this as a suicide attempt was in exetremely poor taste and judgement. You are talking about a guy's reputation here, and I doubt that even his family was aware of what was going on, and probably heard about the "suicide" attempt on tv or the net. I realize that his antics have made him fair game of sorts for people to report on, he craved attention, even negative attention and you reap what you sow. But I really feel that this was over the line. Maybe its because I immediately remembered my reaction to the one time I ever took pain killers(obviously Gander had the same thing happen, sounds identical to my reaction). Trust me, had anyone come an checked on me as I was wretching and then observed me staggering down the street to buy a 64 ounce sugared coke and sucking the whole thing down through a straw in my living room and then witnessed me crawling to my bed, they woulda called 911 on me as well. Nobody deserved what this guy got today without a full check of the facts. Just reprehensible actions by the press. |

Agree 100%...I've worked in mental health all my life, this is sad, I don't give a damn who it is! If this was a suicide attempt, it is the product of severe depression and a deeply troubled mind in real pain! Anyone making light of such a thing has a hole in their soul!!
