Thank God for Obama, what we do if we didn't have a 30 to 1 ratio of people looking to actual jobs available.

Maybe have a 40 to 1 ratio? We'd definitely have 100 more people still unemployed in Lexington. Rather than now employed in well-paying jobs that get them off the unemployment rolls.

Yeah, that's worthy of disparagement!

A year plus, with 1/3 of them permanent hires. Probably better we didn't have these stimulus jobs available at all, right?

You guys are hilarious.

As usual you take the low road. While it is nice that these 100 people got jobs and that 33 of them may actually have a job this time next year, you make this out like so kind of huge achievement. There are tens of millions without jobs, this is 33 full time jobs. What exactly does this prove?

I "take the low road"? What a load of nonsense. I didn't say it was a "huge achievement". It was posted in response to the people here that say - repeatedly - the stimulus didn't create any jobs. Yeah. It did. And continues to.

Geeshus, you Obama-haters are thin and pathetic in your attacks

Only about 1/3 of the funds have been disbursed so far (more to come this year, next) so you'd have to look at the website for this at .gov

Attacks? You seem to be the one attacking. My referring to the "low road" is how you seem incredulous that we would dare challenge you or Obama. Only someone looking for a fight would literally post short term jobs created by the stimulus. Your guy spent $800 billion dollars. Bragging about a few residual jobs created, especially when so many of them are temporary, is petty.

What you fail to recognize is the long term costs of programs like these. So it's easy for you to say, 100 more jobs, let's do cartwheels while we bankrupt our future generations with big government. Whoopdey do.

No, I don't fail to recognize that at all. We had been teetering on the brink of depression for two years. Bush tried to do nothing, but then en the end had to.

There are consequences to doing nothing, too. You can't fail to recognize that. Nearly all major economists have said since that would have been the far worse route, we'd be in a definitive depression right now.

All these major economists who missed the simple truths I posted years ago about this situation and where we were headed. Right-o.

Insightful depth to your analysis.

And by the way - he's your President, too.
