this is why you can't believe what pols say when they're campaigning. when they win office, they find out why the person they were running against didn't do a similar thing. then, they realize it's not as easy as they thought. turkey is a muslim country, and one that's presumably an ally. you don't smack your ally, especially with something that occurred almost a century ago, and expect them to take it with a smile.
