I don't think there was any doubt who the sale topper was gonna be.

I think the steal of the sale...was hip #44 the Harlan's Holiday colt. 145k
HH has become a really nice versatile sire.

Collier was imploring people to bid on him... (And many others too of course, but I recall him talking about this Harlan especially.)

The dam of the sales topper was a multiple Grade 1 stakes winner ... but here's a video of her in one of her all-time finest performances ... running 2nd to the freakish Sharp Cat in SC's final career start.

I don't think RA or Zenyatta would have wanted any Sharp Cat on that day.

Wonder what odds she would have been in that years (1998) Breeders Cup Classic...coming off that 119 Beyer?

I really liked the Afleet Alex colt (#233), but would have stayed under $75K....

Considering the Awesome Again/Coronado's Quest/Touch Gold entry was almost 5-1... probably 8-1 or more.
