From the article in the BH it appears they kept her going until she foaled. She was in foal to Bernardini. They put the foal on a nurse mare.

She must have been one tough horse to get hurt so badly and still carry her foal to term.

I will watch that foal's career for sure.

I know all animals go to heaven once they pass from here. They have to, they do not have the vices of man greed, deceit, unfaithful ........
