Good Parade, 7 year old mare who had never won, in her 14th start, at Southwell. She had been pulled up in her last race. This time out half the field was pulled up... she didn't make it though. I hate adding this name...
Black Bear Island. In his first out he was 2nd (Sea the Stars was 4th). He beat some other really nice horses home... horses like Crowded House, Native Ruler and Kite Wood. He had won the Dante and was, of course, 2nd in the Secretariat. A real shame.
