The wins over Marquette and Georgia Tech keep them in the discussion and their only real bad loss was against NC State (though they did get stomped by Florida). If they can finish above .500 in the ACC I think they get in.

William and Mary is very strong this year although ODU is the class of that conference. Nice wins at maryland and wake. Miami fla in the mix from ACC

You know a small school that isn't bad? Wofford. They beat South Carolina and they get another shot at charleston who is the only team to beat them in the last 13 games.

Noah Dahlman's a nice player. They also won at Georgia and were up by 13 in the second half at Pittsburgh before losing by three. They'll crush Charleston at home.

Noah Dahlman is a nice pull. Impressive Ateam! What do you think about Ok st this year? I think Ford has that team playing.

James Anderson is a beast and Muonelo is a sniper, but other than that I dunno that they have much. They're real young and not very deep. Matt Pilgrim is a monster in the paint and he's really come on recently, but he has trouble staying on the floor because of fouls.

The fact that they have nothing resembling a quality nonconference win is going to hurt them. That was the emphasis from last year's selection committee IMO, playing and beating people in your nonconference slate. The only decent teams they played were Rhode Island and Tulsa and they lost to both, getting crushed by Tulsa. The road win over Kansas State is the only thing saving them right now. They have Kansas and Baylor at home and Texas and Texas A&M on the road left. They have to win at least one of those games and finish .500 in the conference to have any chance at the tournament.

Nice pull on Wofford. This is the kind of 14 seed that can win a game in the tournament. They control tempo really well- they have only given up 80 points in a game once all year and that was against Seattle who is 2nd in Tempo (Pomeroy stats) in the country. The Southern Conference blows this year but that doesn't mean they can't win a game in the tourney.

Phil and Joey are another level in college basketball. Highly impressive! It has nothing to do with the tourney, but have you guys noticed what Depaul has done against the number since the coaching change?

They have covered 7 straight and i think they are 7-2 overall against the line since the change.

Rutgers is Ripe for a letdown after the big win against gtown. However, laying money on a team favored by 4 that is 8-16 is not my idea of a good bet.

We should set up a coach like selection section for college hoops. I bet you guys would kill it.

College basketball is the only sport I can consistently win money at. Football, breaking even for the season is a victory. Because there are so many games you can pick your spots much more carefully and find spots where Vegas might have gotten sloppy or they shift the line too much to accommodate the public's needs.

Rutgers comes through. I'm happy with the way they've been playing lately at home, might be too little too late for Fred Hill though.

I did one for last year's tournament. Started out well but got too cute with parlays/teasers and such and tanked the rest of the way. Still gonna do another one this tournament, keeping it simpler this time.

By saying "at least two", are you implying that the CAA could send three? That seems impossible.

What would need to happen:
1) ODU wins out and gets the 1 seed
2) Northeastern loses their last game and gets the 2 seed
3) William & Mary wins out and gets the 3 seed

4) ODU loses to the 4 seed in the semifinals
5) William & Mary loses in the finals to VCU/George Mason/Drexel

6) Bubble remains as soft as it is right now

So in reality, it would be very difficult. Regardless of what the committee claims- they cap conference inclusions and based on '05/06 and '06/07, it's two for the CAA.
