For starters - his trip on Oaks day was more than very nice - it was perfect. The pace was absurdly fast (99+13, 101+8, 98+2) and he got the patented Borel ride that turned Mine that Bird into a completely different horse the next day. I'm also not sure what to make of Munnings running second now that we know he hates wet surfaces (granted, the track was "good" and not "sloppy"). You can only make so many excuses for him before the 113 looks like an exception and not the rule. He might be able to win this race with a mediocre performance because there are a lot of question marks in the field, but I will be shocked if he ever runs back to the big fig and shakes his current status as a perpetual underlay. |

![]() I like WR but he's never won a stakes race. All those listed above beat him in graded stakes. WR was beaten in listed races as well. He neds to pick a running style and stick with it 'til he perfects it.

![]() I know you'll never grasp this distinction, but no matter what he does you will never get fair odds on this horse. The idiot on HRTV just proved my point by calling him a graded stakes winner - his reputation will always exceed his real ability. Did you get back the money you lost on him in the Northern Dancer, the Dwyer, the Jim Dandy, the Travers, and the Perryville today? |
