GG,

Agreed... I added him to the P4 play myself. Faces much less pressure now post-SCR's. (And He's So Chic is going to be overlooked and figures to sit a nice stalking trip outside... Added him to the play as well.)

I think Warrior's Reward's season last year would have been completely different if he had been kept going one turn at a mile or under. He was totally wasted in the Dwyer-Dandy-Travers and Wilkes knows it now. His win on Oaks day (while via a very nice trip) was solid.

I think he has a chance to be a very nice closing sprinter.

This horse has yet to run what I consider a GOOD race. Not saying he can't but since he hasn't to this point, I'll just consider him to be what he is: a horse that needs a PERFECT SETUP to run well. Plenty of horses can pick up the pace sprinting when the race collapses.

Maybe he got better as a 4 year old. We'll see.

I originally shared your opinion on him, but after further consideration and evidence I think you're much better off having a negative opinion on him since he'll forever be overbet off the hype and one false performance.

For starters - his trip on Oaks day was more than very nice - it was perfect.

The pace was absurdly fast (99+13, 101+8, 98+2) and he got the patented Borel ride that turned Mine that Bird into a completely different horse the next day. I'm also not sure what to make of Munnings running second now that we know he hates wet surfaces (granted, the track was "good" and not "sloppy").

You can only make so many excuses for him before the 113 looks like an exception and not the rule. He might be able to win this race with a mediocre performance because there are a lot of question marks in the field, but I will be shocked if he ever runs back to the big fig and shakes his current status as a perpetual underlay.

Another thing, they messed with this horses running style how many times last year? From 7f-9f how many 3yr olds last year can you say were 100% better then him, IMO not many.

Kensei accomplished more last year than this horse ever will. And I guess you didn't read my post in the other thread.

How many horses were better than him last year? Let's see . . . Flavor, El Brujo, Not For Silver, Conchacer, Evolutionist, Summer Bird, Hold Me Back, Quality Road, Charitable Man, Kensei, Convocation, Successful Dan. . . Should I continue?
