Some of the weakest ones he gave away have run relatively well at Sam Houston.

This one was supposed to be one of the worst of his worst .... seems like it was $1 well spent by his new connections because the horse just won a race at Sam Houston on Saturday and looks like a nice open nickle claimer.

Are you sure he bought this one for a $1? I added this horse to my watch list back in the summer as a potential claim but after seeing steph had him and how much Gill ran him it wasnt practical. You could see by his form he needed a rest after running 13 times and it was only October. If he got him for a $1 that was a good deal. He just needed some rest.

You think a 6% trainer at Sam Houston paid any money for a horse that just was unable to even finish a 5k claiming race - and was beaten a combined 56.5 lengths in the two starts before that?
A horse that she would have had to ship thousands of miles on her own dime...to run for piss poor purses? Do I know for a fact that the horse was sold for $1? No. But, I think it's pretty obvious the horse was a giveaway. I thought I remembered Gill saying he gave away his sore and bad horses for $1 and a lot of them went to a Sam Houston buyer... and he raced only the ones in good shape or good form. |

no doubt you might be right but just looking at the form henry witt has horses that come in from HOU from the trainer out there. Witt has a couple different trainers in PA. Good for him if he got him for a buck. To look at Dippi Trippi he looked and walked sound but he just needed a well needed break. He also was running in open company which didnt help him any. Gill claimed him and ran him back in like 6-7 days.
