![]() I agree that they dont care. Its quite pathetic and embarassing and what I find hysterical is that you guys actually root for these imbeciles.

![]() Root?
I didn't watch a hole. I read the results on the net. I just can't get up for that thing no matter how hard I try. I just think its an exhibition and all the four ball and foursome stuff is just nonsense. I mean, what a joke. Americans are not taught the team concept and never have been. American players grow up learning stroke play, even in high school, with minor emphasis on even match play. I mean, Tim, our golfers grow up and learn stroke play almost exclusively and then you want em to learn the fine points and strategy of four ball, etc on one day every two years? Blah. I love golf Tim, you know that. But the format of that whole thing just stinks, its hard to get excited about. |

![]() Mike, you didnt watch. Trust me, someone who did, the Americans would have been blown out of the water using any points system. Thats a very silly excuse as to why they couldnt compete. Your first one was much more logical, there wasnt the million dollar paycheck up for grabs. The American golfers are no different than the top guys who play baseball like A Rod. They could care less about team achievements. That performance was an utter mess and their captain should be very ashamed of that team.

![]() I suspect people on here would have a different attitude towards the Ryder Cup if our team had won it. Suddenly it would mean something. As it stands it just doesnt matter because our team was horrible.

![]() I'm like you Kev, and personally I could give a rat's ass which country each player represents. At the end of the day its just a silly game which provides entertainment and a nice diversion from real life to people like you and I.
I root for the players and Tiger is my favorite, but he just doesnt seem to be at his best when it comes time for Ryder Cup. As for Mickelson, has he been competitive at all since his infamous 18th hole at the US Open? |

![]() I watched probably close to 10 - 12 hours of it all weekend and from the word go I never thought we would be even close. No enthusiasm in the players (AMERICANS) eyes and faces. Where as the Euros had that look and feel.
I got hooked on the Ryder Cup the year Payne hit the shot that cinched it for the Americans, that was great golf and a great battle. I ask you guys this, and I asked myself this when the team was announced. Did we not have the right group assembled this year? What about the captain? |
