my jaw dropped when i got to the part about the piece of wood with the electrical cord. that guy should've been banned for life.

“The order is for nothing,” Gill said. “They can’t say it’s because of breakdowns or a test. They don’t have a reason, so they come up this rule, which basically means they can throw anyone off the racetrack at any time, with no reason at all.

“This is why I have to get out. I knew how dirty the politics were.”

yeah, cry me a river...

Delahoussaye wasn't even one of the 50 best trainers racing at Mountaineer Park when he was racing there a couple years ago.

If his piece of wood with an electrical cord method was any good .. he wouldn't have been such a hopeless bum trainer for pretty much forever.

For the record ... I did a little research ... and I can name 20 different horses and counting owned by Maggi Moss that broke down in a race - (all were unable to finish their race and obviously never raced again. I'm not talking about being eased and racing again - like more than a few of Gill's have recently)

Again - I like Moss ... and even though she came across as a monumental hypocrite in her letter .. you have to keep in mind that she employs Steph Beattie and there is no telling what kind of stuff Beattie might have said to her.

I think it's very likely that horses owned by Maggie Moss break down at a higher rate per start than Gill owned horses have ... although Gill has certainly closed the gap steadily since hiring Delahoussaye.

Having Gill (have people figured out yet that he's an owner and not a trainer?) banned from a racetrack for an obvious statistical anomaly regarding horses breaking down ... that is about as disgraceful as it gets.

Yes.

Plus everyone knows Gill was going to use Casual Conflict's sawed off leg as a walking stick after "science" was finished with it.

Some people just don't understand.

Don't understand what?

Casual Conflict was 7 years ago at a track thousands of miles away - and in no way relates to anything that has happened at Penn National recently.

Also - Gill was not the one who went into the dumpster and cut the leg off - a vet was.

But hey, Adamo has 11 fines for entering a few of the army of horses in his care for races they aren't elidigble for and taking a fine to scratch. Pitchforks.

It reminds me of when the MLB banned Marge Schott from going to her own Cinci Reds games.

If you read all the comments by the readers,Ray needs to change the name of his site to the PETA report. There would be no such thing as thoroughbred racing if any of those people had anything to do with it.
