My friend smuthg remembered this date last year... since he's not around I'll do it this time.

There are many, many lovely tribute videos. I was trying to decide which link to post but then I thought no... how about instead of mourning his death we remember and celebrate his life.

Foresight, at Uttoxeter...

He was 5.

Too Forward, 14 years old (is this right???).

He won the Bruton Handicap Chase at Wincation (Jan. 23) and collapsed and died immediately following the race, poor guy.

Champion Lodge, today.

I know that he came very close to being slaughtered and was rescued, but not much more than that. Maybe someone who does know the story could post?

Anyway, I know he was sick so at least he's not suffering any more.

Rest in peace.

Brenna (AUS), 10 year old mare, fell and was euthanized on track earlier this month. This was her 106th start.

Poor girl.

Indy Driver, 5 years old, at Lingfield on the 2nd...

Treasulier, 13 years old, fell and died at Wincanton on Jan. 23rd...

Horizons (AUS), 3 year old filly, at Randwick on Jan. 30th..
