"The Living Legend" in the 1984 Arlington Million is also a fave. Lots of post parade stuff in this video before the gates open, so fast forward at will.... |

![]() In the interest of redboarding, I really enjoyed the Louisiana Handicap last Saturday.
A little angel came down and tapped my shoulder and said "do an exacta box...$80 with Friesan Fire over General Quarters, and back it up with $20 with General Quarters over Friesan Fire." It certainly wasn't a historic race, but it does provide the lettuce by which I will make my advance Super Bowl wagers when I head to Nevada this Saturday. Video not required on that one, I guess. |

Back on subject, I saw both of these horses run. Twice. I bet Easy Goer when I should have bet Sunday Silence. I bet Sunday Silence when I should have bet Easy Goer. I didn't bet the race linked here. But, a good race just the same. |

I had just moved to Philly and lived in close proximity to Philly Park and was going to baseball game with pals from college. Stopped and played a sizable Easy Goer/Sunday Silence straight exacta and a few $2 boxes with the same combo to hand out to my friends. We watched it at a little dive bar in south Philly near the Vet. and you should of heard those guys screaming at the TV. It was their first experience wagering on horse racing and they had a blast even though the payout was less than $10. |
