Look into using nematodes, which are a microscopic worm you spray into your lawn. There are some nematodes you can buy that are parasitic to various pest insects and can kill a wide range of annoying bugs, like fleas, roaches, termites, etc.

Cheap and nontoxic.

And for those that are grossed out by the thought of nematodes, take comfort in knowing that if you were to weigh all the nematodes in the world, they would far outweigh any other animal type in the world.
