Ummm someone told me there's something about Zada Belle on another forum. I was wondering if anyones heard anything lately?

I looked around, can't find a thing.

I believe she broke down in a race in NY in 2009. Haven't heard anything since.

I noticed that Zada Belle has a full sister named Cofachiqui that's 2 this year if anybody wants to keep up with her. I did some searches, and all I came up with is that ZB was sent to Rood and Riddle for surgery. http://www.thoroughbredtimes.com/rac...nd-Riddle.aspx How did we find out she was euthanized? Kinda sad nobody in the media followed up to see how things went. I guess the circulation must've been compromised, but who knows. It was a medial sesamoid fracture. Of course we don't want to forget about laminitis as a possibility in situations like this.

I was afraid of that. All the advances in surgery, but then this sneaks in and ruins everything. Everybody thinks about Barbaro when laminitis is discussed, but there are so many victims of that incidious disease. RIP pretty girl.
