Three guys with small penis complex. I don't see this working very well.

At least Shanahan runs a west coast offense. Now all they need is players that fit that type of system. Hmmmmmm.

The difference this time seems to be that Snyder has handed over the GM and VP of football operations to qualified guys with resumes. If this doesn't improve things they'll just have to change the name of the team...

He hired them, the big question is will he let them do their job without meddling? I don't think Shanahan will put up with it so it should be interesting.

Supposedly Shannahan has final say in all player personnel decisions

That never works.

God bless 'em.

You'd rather have a college coach than a dude who's won a SB?

Two of them even!

Anyone that doesnt think shanahan can coach, specifically offense, really has to take a step back and look at the numbers. His version of the west coast had incredible success with and without John Elway. He took mediocre talents at running back and made them superstars.

His success as a talent evaluator, though, is another story. He will never be confused with Bobby Beathard in this regard and the fact that he will have final say in matters of personnel will ultimately doom the skins as it doomed Denver. All one has to do is look at his draft picks over the last ten years, particularly first round busts.

Three big egos. There will be points. There will even be playoffs. But there will be no superbowl. I think at this point most redskin fans will take that deal.

Especially if there is no salary cap next year. You would certainly think that Danny boy will open up the check book (again). And in his first year Brucie will be thrilled that he can make (maybe several) big impact signings to re shape his club.

It may be the only way for him to salvage his reputation - take credit for others' decisions.

Big Bruce is the modern day Charlie Casserly. The guy had huge shoes to fill with the departure of Bobby Bethard in Washington, but was completely clueless about how to develop a team, much less have an eye for talent (trading up to draft Heath Shuller #4 overall was one of countless errors in judgment as far as his "draft prowess" was concerned). They made excuses for him year after year, until finally he became Houston's, and inevitably, Dom Caper's problem.

Give the guy credit, he was a hell of an actor-posing-as-a-GM for many years and cashed a few nice checks. But eventually, his past (and is record of screwing up halfway decent franchises) caught up with him.

Bruce wallowed in mediocrity in Atlanta before coming to Tampa and completely dismantling a Super Bowl winning team, reducing it to the rubble it now is. 3-13 was considered "well, it could have been worse".
By the way, in the 5 years since his departure, Atlanta is now actually a decent team, and had Matt Ryan not gone down at the end may well have contended for a playoff spot.

Bruce Allen's only hope and prayer is that Shanny tells him what to do.

Redskins are a poorly run franchise.

If there is no salary cap next year then almost all of the big name free agents will become restricted free agents and teams will gain an extra transition tag. So basically if Snyder wants to way overpay everyone he will have to give up a ton of draft picks to do so or it will be slim pickings.

there might not even be a 2011 season, if big egos can settle on an agreement!
