Don't understand the segue, but I was talking about Camerons' movie!

Loved Blood Diamond and Seven Pounds. Probably my 2 favorites of the decade. Juno, American Gangster and Blow were all pretty awesome. Sideways was great and Office Space was probably my favorite comedy.

I liked the Hangover but it could have been better if the story was told in real time and I thought the characters tried a bit too hard to be funny and overdid it. Certainly not as funny as Road Trip.

I liked the Departed but it was a total copycat of Goodfellas and didnt do that movie justice.

The Hangover was a lot better then Road Trip IMO. Blood Diamond was decent at best, Dicaprio carries it. Im the biggest Will Smith fan in the world, I still love to watch Fresh Prince, but Seven Pounds was HORRIBLE. American Gangster and Blow are both very good, The Departed IS GREAT. I like 300, I thought that was really good. No Country For Old Men is good, Dark Knight was amazing IMO.

300 was neat with the way they filmed it and it was great to see so many hardbodies with their shirts off.

You probably dont appreciate Goodfellas as much as you should if you think the Departed was "GREAT". It was a good movie, entertaining to watch but very unoriginal and predictable. Have you ever seen Goodfellas?

Seven Pounds is a love it or hate it movie. Not surprised you didnt like it. A lot of people dont.

I had a lot of expectations when I rented Hangover. From what I heard it was the funniest movie in a long time, and while I enjoyed it, I thought it could have been a lot better. The scenes with the asian guys werent funny at all and how do you not have the main character (the guy getting married) more a part of the movie? He had what, maybe 10 minutes of screen time? Road Trip killed this movie. Not even close.

It's a remake of infernal affairs. if you don't mind reading subtitles, watch the original. neither is really derivative of goodfellas.

ray liotta rolls over in goodfella's because he gets busted. and it's just the last 1/4 of the film where that happens. the plotline in infernal affairs/the departed would be derivative if goodfellas started there and also included a mafia mole on the narcotics squad. i don't see the similarities other than they're both mafia movies.

Both mafia movies done by scorsese but thats where it ends. I don't understand the ripoff thing either. But hey...art is about interpretation.
