Claiming races are the backbone of the sport...eliminate them and only the boys from Dubai and fat cats from Europe and billionaires from the US would be involved in the sport! How many owners can afford a two million dollar yearling? How many trainers could get by with ..oh lets see...no horses in their barn??? You would put hundreds of thousands of folks out of work, condemn tens of thousands of horses to slaughter...why? Because you don't like claiming races???
