Don't get me wrong .... I still think Mr. Prospector is a great sire ... but, I really lost a lot of respect for him as a person when I saw Winlocs Millie in the form.
I've never seen Inbreeding like these 2 examples.

I thought it was weird last year when I saw a horse in Cali that was by Lear fan out of a Dynaformer mare (or vice versa ), with Roberto so close on each side.

I think the dam and sire of Sumitas were full siblings to each other.

Of course ... I speak of the poster ... not the halfway decent turf horse the poster was named after.

There is a horse named Uptowncharlybrown that looks like a really nice horse. He broke his maiden very impressively at Tampa Bay Downs. He's running in a stakes race this coming Saturday at Tampa. He's coming back a little quick (3 weeks) but I think he will be able to handle it.

Good looking, big strapping colt with a great stride. Could be anything.

Tried to get a futures bet on him a couple of weeks ago in Vegas, but he wasn't (and as far as I know, still isn't) on the list. Johnny wasn't there to create a number for me.

Edit: He went from 250-1 on Tuesday, down to 60-1.

Yes, I saw Uptowncharlybrown was 250-1 on that list before the race over the weekend. I would have liked to have gotten down at that price.

I posted about him in another thread but since this is the Derby prospect thread I figured I would mention Cowboy Gets Even in this thread. He won really impressively today and looks like he could be any kind if he stays sound as is handled right. He literally had 7-8 lengths of trouble and still won.

Ice Box for Zito was good today. His time was just 1/5 slower then older horses earlier in the card.
