all apart of the master plan, that place caters nothing to horse players... you have to cross the yellow brick road to get to the track, its an afterthought to that place, its on the ass end of a gold mine. Don't make the mistake of parking valet, you'll be in a maze for 20 min. taking left and rights just to see how little space the racing part of the track takes up as compared to the casino. Elevators out of the parking garage are just as bad, just more confusing. If you're going there for horse racing i suggest parking outside just past the finish line on the first turn, you avoid ALL the casino riff raff and can walk right onto the front stretch with no hassle. -bt- |

I usually just park on the roof of the old garage over by the backside and then take the stairs down and up to the casino floor. I won't lie, I definitely stop to play some slots coming back from the track once the races end at like 11:00 p.m. on most nights.

Lie about what? There's zero way to get to the track without first going through the casino these days unless you walk up and around from the old parking area. Sue me for putting 20 bones in a slot machine!

If you park in the parking lot on the first turn, walk down along the track and you can get in without going through the casino.
Or, park in the old garage near the paddock, walk down the step at the stables end, head towards the track and the doors for the bsaement racing offices are right there beside a loading dock area. Go up the steps inside and you are in the grandstand by the simulcast area. Or, spend $15 to get an owner's license, park in the stable area, and walk up through the paddock. |
