Off mounts today per Bloodhorse. X-rays were negative. Sounds like he'll be back in time to ride Ventura in the Matriarch (I think he also has the mount on Cowboy Cal in the Citation).

Great news that he is okay and was able to roll underneath the rail before the trailing horses came through after the breakdown.

I think Cowboy Cal will be below 8-1.....so I guess he should take the mount?
Lets just hope that it isn't the LAST RACE.

He was on a 35 to 1 shot that I bet on in the 5th race Saturday. It's not often you get a Gomez-ridden horse at that price. Unfortunately, the horse came in 6th.

Cowboy Cal, if he starts in the Citation, will be running for a $180,000 first place purse on Friday.

Gomez is listed as riding Blue Chagail and Bejarano will ride Cowboy Cal
