I was sad to hear that Bobby Frankel fought leukemia and passed away because of the disease. I've seen a close friend who passed away from the same illness and he was 24.
Frankel came across as a curmudgeon. However when you look at how his hired help were loyal to him and worked for him for years makes me realize he was a pretty good man. I think the tributes by fellow horsemen, jockeys, and racing writers validates that he was a good guy. RIP Mr. Frankel
