We're very excited. I watched him work the other day and he looked great. Joel is going to work him for the first time next Saturday the 21st. Looking forward to that. Big fun.

God I hope he goes off 5/2 or better. Are there odds on what his odds will be?

It's an awfully long layoff though to go straight into a graded stakes race isn't it? Shouldn't they have tested the wheels first against cal breds maybe

The quality in this race wont be much. Anybody who is halfway decent out there just ran in the Classic. This will most likely be more like an allowance race and Lava Man will be around 3/5 and very tough to beat. Its not like its the quality of the Cigar Mile or even the Clark.

Didn't really research the race too much because I commited to Doug as soon as he asked. Think we'll see another Hollywood Gold Cup winner in there. Mast Track. After that not sure

Tres Borrachos, Monzante, Neko Bay, maybe Riviera Cocktail, maybe Dakota Phone seem like they could end up in there.

No Dakota Phone. My jock rides him. Pointing for different spot. Tres Borrachos is entered in a turf allowance race.

Vic , if "LAVA MAN" returns to his former glory can you play Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire for back ground music when they turn for home?

LAVA MAN is and will be one of my all time favortives.
