Course not, but I don't really think he has a prayer here. As Mettee said in the DRF article, he's got a lot to overcome.......I guess it shows confidence in him that he's here, but he's so lightly raced and inexperienced......I'm really not sure why they are doing this. They can't possibly think he can win. I would be the most shocked person in the world.......

Thanks Steve, thats awesome

The Dirt Mile looks very weak now compared to what it looked like earlier, at least when it is 'shown' that way instead of the pre-entries. Maybe I am wrong...

Why exactly is there a Breeders Cup race that is run at 1 3/4 again?

They were hoping Hacker Craft would get entered...!!!

Personally I'll be getting my first round of bloody mary's during the race, and should still be able to get back to see the finish

So Barry Abrams can run a gelding that is still eligible for the N1X condition.

Seriously what was the reasoning again? I understood and defended the turf sprint, especially now that seemingly 1/2 the races run are turf sprints but what was the need to add a race that is only run in this country for starter 5k claimers? I wasnt opposed to the turf races for 2 year olds. But the Marathon is a total outlier.

Yes ... nothing says memorable quite like a Classic where the favorite is a Euro turf import for a trainer who is 3 for his last 65 in North America.

The 2nd choice has modest margin slow fig wins over Briecat, Anabaa's Creation, and Lethal heat in her last 3 races.

And the 3rd choice has never run on anything but dirt... goes 1st synthetic.

I took a lot of notes last year after the Santa Anita B.C., with this year's races in mind. Not that one weekend of racing constitutes any kind of trend, but I have to stick to what I suggested for myself to do this year:

U.S. horses are very plausible in the sprints and Juveniles; front runners fared poorly on the Pro Ride(and the turf); Euro's on turf, U.S horse for course types underneath in exotics.

I agree with DruGs about the overlooked, "2nd tier" Euro's, I think that might have to be the profitable angle, as everyone will jump all over the Euro's this year(hence the alternate wagering stance of betting against them all this year and hoping things even out)

I'm pretty much left with Twice Over in the Classic

Sh!t, when your go-to riders in America are Spencer and Murtagh, what kind of record would you expect.

There was a time way back in the day when you'd have expected a horse like her to be laid at 20/1 or more on the ML and get bet down some.

I've never seen a race that screams "10 cent superfecta" more than that race does.

The spread between ML favorite and longest shot isn't too much.

I like Devil May Care to win, but I have a strong feeling Negligee hits the board and I think keying her 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in a 10cent super with some bombs could be very profitable- while traditionally the Cal based fillies have dominated at SA I'm not in love with any of the runners coming out of the Oak Leaf. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Biofuel, Ms Vanenzza, or Zilva all at huge prices to fill out the super.
