The McKees gave Boundless (winner of the 2007 NZ Oaks) one more chance in a G3 at Ellerslie yesterday. If she ran another bad race, they would decide she's had enough and retire her.

Yes she did run it last year - 2 miles was a bit too far.
She's going to the Zabeel Classic on Boxing Day next. It's a G1 over the same distance at the same track, so she would have to be a big chance if she runs as well as that again.

It's an awesome and very even field, but I think he's going to be really hard to beat. I'm off to Christchurch tomorrow for a week - 3 days of racing, with both the 2000 and 1000 Guineas, and lots of nights out drinking with friends...perfect way to celebrate the end of a really hard university year.
