Whobegotyou (applause! ) has his name in red...

Tell me it's a mistake where it says red means likely to miss...

The thing I have learned throughout the years of watching this race, the winner of the Caulfield Cup and other preps don't necessarily mean they will win the Melbourne Cup.

I'm going to back Roman Emperor in the big race, The status quo 119lbs from finishing 2nd in the Caulfield Cup could turn out to be a blessing and Bart will no doubt have him ready to run his peak race tommorow. Prefer him over stablemate Viewed who has to carry 128lbs. 2 more than the Caulfield Cup.

Unfortunately Allez Wonder is part of the field horses, would have been a super longshot to add into the mix.

Not too excited about the euro contingent this year.

It looks like it is Bart Cummings' spring this year. I wouldn't ignore anything he saddles in the Melbourne Cup. Viewed had an excellent prep on Saturday, but the Master may just had something up his sleeve we don't know about.

My 1-2-3 for the race are:
1. Mourilyan - a nice racing weight, has a fair bit of class and crucially a turn of foot. He is a bit of a monkey so may completely down tools when push comes to shove but worth a bet at about 30-1

2. Crime Scene - I actually really liked his Geelong Cup run when 6th (beaten 2L by Leica Ding) and is better off at the weights than the winner. If you look through his form, he nearly always improves loads second off a break and has a big shot here! I took some 80-1 before the weekend and am delighted with my bet

3. Master O'Reilly - all the hype has been about Bart's horses but this guy has been running really well without winning and Tuesday could be the day (if everything goes right) that he beats Viewed.

Or Bart Cummings may just win it again.. Best of Luck all..
