The term gutsy normally isn't given to a horse that has lost 8 straight races, hasn't won in over a year, has failed to hit the board in an Opt Claimer as recently as 10 weeks ago, and has never run a Beyer higher than 97.

Her lifetime record when she has gone off at less than 2/1 odds is 0-for-3. Gutsy horses normally gut out wins in situations when they're expected to win.

The only "gutsy" element about her is that she runs on short rest.

it's the bc. yeah, it won't have some of the best horses there-but isn't that the case every year? i plan to watch it, and enjoy it, and hope to see some memorable finishes.
in a word-entertaining.
