cards vs dodgers

Scuds i like it - every espn analyst picked the cards over the dodgers .....gotta take la and joe to the bank in round 1 , joe will find a way to get this team through and onto the 2nd round

They all picked the Cards? Well, we do suck in St. Louis. It's not been a good team for us to play. If their top 2 starters come correct, then we're dead. I'll be honest. If we lose either of the first two games, then we probably won't get another game this year in Dodger Stadium. That's just reality. We rarely win in St. Louis. Simply a fact. Have to somehow win the first two here, because I'll believe we win a playoff game in St. Louis win Hell Freezes Over. I'd much prefer to play the Rocks some more, but we can't. If only they let us (team with the best record in the league) play the Wild Card. Our pitching doesn't seem to hold up in St. Louis. It's like they've got a way to tell the batter what pitch were throwing. It's horrible (especially late in games there.) We just seem to have no shot there. That's why they're picking the Cards. We won't take them too lightly. They've routinely kicked our a-s-s. Only thing we have going for us is we're streaky, and hopefully hit a vein of gold during our last two games of the season. Can almost guarantee you if we can't win here, then we sure won't win there. Kershaw is gunna have to have his best stuff Thursday. Better not have any of that letdown bullsht he often has after a good effort.

another two hotshots baseball handicappers in NY here looked at me like i was crazy when i said the dodgers could beat St Louis , geez scuds seems like the whole world has no faith in Uncle Joe

It's not that they can't. They can. It's just a really bad match-up for us. Nice aggressiveness by Kemp, and Furcal (to get us started.) Unfortunately, they are so much better managed that it's a lot to overcome. Look at what happened to Manny. Hits it between 1st n' 2nd. Pujols was way over there waiting. We've struggled to shut this damn club down in the 6th-9th innings. Our pitching in that part of the game just hasn't been good enough to stop the Cards. We've been in the games, but can't control their hitters late in games.

Don't know why he gave Kemp anything other than breaking junk in that 1st at bat. That's weird. I guess he wanted to get ahead, but wow. Randy has had a lot of breaks tonite. Throwing crappy. Better come correct, or somebody's going deep on him.

Seems like just a matter of time before the Cards get about 4 runs. Weaver threw one right down the middle, and got an inch lucky. We aren't pitching well enough. Same old Cards. All over us. We've been lucky. They could've easily had 8 or 9 runs by now.
