Owens is also past his prime. I would take Mason over Owens any day. More consistent route runner and better hands and NO DRAMA. Owens still has the edge on speed and strength but is not as reliable. What Mason really needs is Baltimore to get another legitimate NFL receiver.

I laughed.

One thing I never liked about Owens though is that he doesn't look natural. That's one of the things I've always liked the most about Moss.

Owens would have been better for the Raiders than Moss.

With Moss, if you can get enough pass protection to get him deep and have him run deep double moves ... you have an extremely dangerous offense no matter who else you have at any other position.

If your offensive line can't pass block though ... Owens is still pretty dangerous. A guy like Hines Ward who's gritty and a great blocker also would have been a better option for the Raiders the way that team was set up when Moss was there.

Talk about trying to butter him up.

I doubt he's as good as Champ Bailey or that jackass from the Jets.

The Broncos and Jets were getting awesome defensive pressure though ... and both had safety help for deep routes with Moss most of the game.

Maybe the hoody is just trying to say that Talib is getting no help with a pass rush like those guys - and is still holding his own with top recievers. I guess Steve Smith had just 1 catch for 4 yards last week.

I think Rhonde Barber was on Smith most of the game. Smith also seemed gimpy throughout. He was not 100% on Sunday.

Talib is good, but he's less than 1.5 years into his career. I am sure he will get better, but he is not as good as the two you mentioned above.
