Suppose he had been put away for the year after the Irish Champion, because his owner was mad at the French Jockey Club (like the people behind Dar Re Mi were after her DQ last month), or because the trainer thought he wouldn't like the soft ground that Longchamp often has in October? People were saying he didn't really stay 12f and would have continued to do so if he hadn't tried. The champions face their obstacles and overcome them for all to see.

Doesn't work.

Unless you're insinuating that Santa Anita has a chance to come up DIRT in November.

In principle, I agree. But this doesn't work.

Yeats is running the final race of his career in the Prix Du Cadran which in a way is a shame cause 1. he's not at home and 2. it's completely and understandably overshadowed.

Only horse to win the Gold Cup 4 times... could someone with HRTV please post how he does / did?
