Sea The Stars... he ran really well, no doubt he's talented, but the seas parted down the stretch for him with the rabbits.

He(STS) apparently had some trouble in the early parts of the race, it was a super effort IMO on first viewing. This horse is no doubt a superstar.

Inside whole way, rabbits set the pace up, his lane opens up and he's gone. Now, he had to have the kick to outrun those who moved outside, but one steady or check and I don't think he gets there.

He's super talented though, and I'm not sure we have anyone here who can beat him.

I didn't see anything early but watching that race is like "Where's Waldo?"

Suppose he had been put away for the year after the Irish Champion, because his owner was mad at the French Jockey Club (like the people behind Dar Re Mi were after her DQ last month), or because the trainer thought he wouldn't like the soft ground that Longchamp often has in October? People were saying he didn't really stay 12f and would have continued to do so if he hadn't tried. The champions face their obstacles and overcome them for all to see.

I'm sure you'd be up to the challenge of calling that race! You just have to work on your British or French accent.

Ive only seen the race once, but it looks like there was a fair bit of scrimmaging early on and he had a rough enough trip on the inside for the first half mile. Him and Getaway both tried to go through on the rail entering the straight but there was always going to be one winner in that battle.. The fact he wasnt able to settle for ages and still had a finishing kick like that was extraordinary..

It's amazing how married my mind (and others here) is to fractions... kinda lost w/out them. Watching races w/out fractions and the different style of racing is very challenging.

I hope he heads our way!
