I wish I could find a replay of the 2000 Goodwood. That was another great race between two horses that didn't want to lose. Tiznow edged Captain Steve in the end.

I was struck with something else in looking at the history of the Goodwood. Has there been any other major stakes race won by full siblings consecutively?

Budroyale wins the Goodwood in 1999 and his full brother Tiznow wins it in 2000. It may have been done before, but if it hasn't, what a great trivia question that would make!

How about the '92 Met Mile? Dixie Brass beats In Excess, Pleasant Tap, Rubiano and Twilight Agenda.

I've got the stretch run of that one, but unfortunately it is on Beta and my Betamax is broken.

'05 BC Sprint

Taste of Paradise wins for fun IMO if it wasn't for Attila's Storm and LITF backing up on the rail. Silver Train certainly took advantage of it.

And to think people were calling Bill Mott a fool for not running him in the BC Mile!

He was so much the best. LITF getting hammered to 3/5 made all the prices wacky but 12-1 on the winner of the Vosburgh on the same track was silly. They claimed foul but it was rightly disallowed because as you said it was LITF and Attila's backing up that caused his check.
