He's showing some verstility also, he's not just a stone cold closer as some mistakeningly think he is, with blinkers it should be no surprise he has more early speed than most give him credit for. That brings me back to a point I have been trying to make over and over after his Belmont win, he COULD HAVE WON by more if Kent D wanted him closer. Some just don't want to see that and keep on insisting that MTB was the best horse in the Belmont but that is erroneous slanted type of thinking if you ask me.

He won races with the worst non-bug rider in America, he basically had no rider for his first 5 races

Chris Rosier? In all credit to Kent I think he rode him well here, he knew he had the best horse and just made sure he no one snuck away on him and thus he made an early move, there were no confirmed closers in this field so once he made the lead in the stretch it was just a matter of him not standing up at the 1/16th pole.

Rosier. Kent rode him like he had the best horse, which he did.
