When I saw that you weren't going to be available this week I was really hoping it wasn't something like this but I'm very sorry for your loss.

DTers,
I'm hard pressed to appropriately convey my appreciation for your overwhelming kindness and boundless support as contained here. It's heartening to me that so many of you actually met her and were treated to a glimpse of her singularly dynamic persona. She was an irrepressible force. As sick as she was for these 13 years, and despite knowing the final outcome well in advance, it's difficult facing my mother's absence. As I said graveside Sunday, and as beautifully related by Spider, my mother is largely responsible for who I am in life, and I'm forever grateful to her for that alone. The fact that we were so similar inhibited our relationship for an extended period, but ultimately served to facilitate a mutual love, respect and admiration. I'll miss her terribly but will remain buoyed by what has been an incredibly moving response to her passing from so many here and in so many aspects of my life. So as always, and for 'bakeshopglo', thank you. Steve
