Didn't i just read that NY has not been furnished with the agreement between the NYRA and MGM ? It seems NYS must know what that agreement reads before they can award NYRA a renewal.
Chairwoman for the state racing oversight board Carol Stone said, "I'm not prepared to say today that, if there are not VLTs there is not more money, but I am saying it's hard for me to envision a plan that could legitimately repay VLT advances without VLT revenue." Has to be. Like I said, Tioga Downs, the new harness track out here, got their VLT license about a year ago and they are up and running. About 500 of those things with more planned. And they built a whole new facility in the last year as well.
