![]() I did a search on this subject and from the information I got, the Sheikh has actually been doing everything he can to end the practice. I believe it said he has barred under-age camel jockeys in the UAE.
There is a good chance that the reason he was named in the suit is because he is rich and he is an easy target. They're probably hoping he will pay them some money to be quiet and end the bad publicity. I'm not denying that children were kidnapped and forced to become camel jockeys, I'm just saying that the Sheikh was not necessarily involved in this practice. It actually sounds like he is the one who is putting an end to the practice in his country. |

I really don't know much other than the recent report about a class-action suit that might be filed concerning kidnapping 30,000 kids to be camel jockeys. This is just too bizare for me to get my "head around". It should be very interesting. IMHO, children deserve different treatment than horses or camels, no matter how big the wallet or oil bank deposits. Sportsmen...my butt!!! Correct! DTS |
