You said the Woodward was the only race for him at Saratoga. I pointed out why what YOU SAID was incorrect.

The simple fact is that the connections of Funny Cide are determined to run him over his head because they refuse to admit that he isn't that good anymore. If they were concerned with what was best for the horse then he would have run in the overnight stake. Regardless, I was simply pointing out the inaccuracy of your post. There was a race for him at Saratoga besides the Woodward.

By the way....still plenty of Funny Cide posters left.

No, the owners, not the connections, are determined to run him over his head. The trainer has said publicly that he is not a grade 1 horse. The Woodward was the only race because the owners wanted to run him in a big race and the Whitney was much more competitive. They had 10,000 posters to hand out and wanted him to run in a big race at Saratoga before he was done. Nothing wrong with that. People forget this horse has two good wins already this year. One a graded stake.

I do think there is something wrong with running the horse in a completely impossible spot. He's not a 4YO unneutered horse who can greatly increase his value with a win, or even placing, he is a 6YO gelding. The simple fact is that whoever decided to run him there did the wrong thing by the horse. Simple as that.

Thus, I would say I strongly disagree with your " nothing wrong with that " comment.

How does anyone really know that Funny Cide is going in the Empire Classic? Has it been stated anywhere by Tagg that it's their goal after the Brooklyn?? I'm not saying he won't go in the race but unless someone has a link of a direct quote.....

Oh and I still think it's strange that there still is so much anger over Funny Cide in the Brooklyn.......when Naughty New Yorker got wheeled back even faster after being a well beaten 9th in the Woodward. If they say FC is healthy then he's healthy. No use making a million posts about something you cannot change!!
