The mare Irish Cherry, the dam of GI'ers Spun Sugar and Daaher had two in yesterday........on opposite coasts!
Ironically, they bookended their respective races. The Medaglia d'Oro, Maraschino Red, won in the slop at the Spa, and the Sky Mesa, A Cat Named Snipe, was buried at Del Mar, running last by around 18 lengths for 25K. Serves them right! Who would name a horse A Cat Named Snipe! Just awful!
