Just as 2008 election cycle set up poorly for Senate Republicans -- either 2010 or 2012 -- is similar scenario for Senate Democrats. Lots of incumbent Dems up for re-election (or retiring or dying) and fewer Republican seats up for grabs.

If Dow sail through 10000, I look for Democrats to claim credit. However, when it lags back to 5000, blame will squarely fall upon "previous administration" and its failed policies. Spin-spin-spin...
