Default Rampillion to Linda Albert for Midlantic campaign

We're very pleased to announce that well known and highly respected Maryland trainer Linda Albert has agreed to take on the conditioning responsibilities for RAMPILLION, with an eye on racing opportunities at Laurel, Delaware, Philadelphia, Colonial and West Virginia.

Based on the big turnout for Kickin N Screamin's race at Atlantic City, the idea was forwarded by Sumwonlovesyou partner Tom Baldwin, who has several partnerships of his own, and has been successful for many years as an owner in Maryland. He has a long standing relationship with Linda who was voted Maryland Trainer of the Year (2004), ranks in the top 10 trainers of Maryland Million winners, including a win of the MD Million Classic. She recently notched her 500th career win, which is the most for a female trainer in MD racing history.

This will offer many more partners the chance top see a Dee Tee runner without traveling to Kentucky or Chicago. We are going to continue to add regional placements like this, spreading out the horses for more to visit and see race. Linda will spend the next couple weeks getting to know Rampillion before thinking about where she will run her.

In the meantime, back in Louisville, ALDEBUTANTE continues to move closer to a return to the track with a half mile workout coming this morning. She will work through June before Chuck begins to shop for a Maiden Special for her, likely a turf sprint.

Sounds like a great idea.

She absolutely will not be shipped further than Chicago for her return. There is enough stress coming back off an injury layoff like this without tossing her on a van for 20 hours.

Any chance that a DT runner will be at the Spa this year?

Sorry to see her leave Kentucky, but what a great thing for the eastern Dee Tee members

Looking forward to a potential race at Philly Park - I could finally meet Rampillion in the flesh - and hey, the Bensalem oval is a mere 6 hours from here!

It's not a bad ride and I used to go there before they had the slots. I had to travel to an office that was not more than 1/4 mile away and I stayed at the Holiday Inn just down the street. There are a few decent dive bars around there with good beer and lots of TVs tuned in to horseracing. I will definitely make the trip.

I finally had a chance to stop by Bowie to see Rampillion today.

She looked good!! She had her face stuck in the feed tub so she wasn't real interested in my visit.

Depending on the weather, Linda might breeze Rampy in the morning (Thursday) so keep an eye out for a work notification if she's in your stable mail.

Thanks for the update Tom.. Once she pays attention to you I'm sure you'll be taken with her.
