The Dear Birdie should sell well. I believe he goes through the ring tomorrow. We are about to find out about the Serena's Song colt... he's coming through the ring now.

No Mineshafts have sold yet, right? Thanks!

So far, seems like a rather humdrum sale except for the Storm Cats

I'm a NY guy and I'm a value breeder. This sale is out of my realm but I'll be watching with interest.

Sumitas,
It's way over me too. Interesting.
All we need is a NY bred to be the next TC winner. Hope!
They'll be flocking.

Well the Serena's Song colt went for 1.5 mil. Disappointing to say the least. The Serena's Tune is next.

Wow, I can't believe the Empire Maker filly out of Ruby Randsome (from the family of Amelia Bearheart) only went for $600K

I saw that colt at Hill n' Dale in a paddock at the turn of the year and asked Aiden (the stallion manager) who the hell that big, good-looking bastard was...he gave me the pedigree (although I could tell that he was probably a Vindication due to his size and typicals of that line) and I admediately asked him how many million they wanted frore him....he definately thougt he was worth multiple seven figures depending on the market and I couldn't disagree....May have been the best looking yearling I'd seen in a LONNNNNGG time....he is a good thing, I'll tell you that much..

I guess it wasn't disappointing to his consigners, though, since that is not a high reserve for this kind of pedigree. They were probably thrilled to get even that much for him. I just read that a Mr. Greeley went for $5.7 million!

Did the Mineshaft/Gold Mover sell yet? Thanks!
