Ok so I just got back early this am from Wilmington. I actually left a couple weeks later then I originally planned. Love it, love it, love it. Love downtown, love the beaches, love the people, love the work opportunities for me, etc etc.. I will break it down later today so those whom have not seen this part of the country can get a sense of how great it is.

And then I gotta share how I got to meet Coach K and talk to him for a good ten minutes.

Oh yeah how could I forget getting "detoured" on the way down with a stop at Cherokee Indian Reservation outside of Asheville.

Thank God they allow U-Turns in the south

I'll break it down Scavs style once I get unpacked, a power nap and 9 holes of golf in with a buddy.

Really cool deal, he had a book signing at Quail Ridge Books and Music in Raleigh while I was down there. Probably 200, 250 people showed up. His daughter Jamie was there as well who actually wrote most of the book, The Gold Standard (just started reading it, focused on Team USA). They assigned letters to you and then when they called your letter you would go in line. I got F which ended up being the last letter called. When I got to the desk I had two books, one for me and one for my Grandmother who bleeds Duke Basketball. He was very gracious and asked me to hang around for a minute as they were almost done. Coach K took a few extra minutes to write a very nice personalized message in my grandmothers book and then shared with me some insight on life in relation to setting achievable goals and not getting all worked up over the things that don't go right.

Great experience as there were probably 10 people he asked to stay over and he took time to speak with us all.

I checked out the following campus's while I was in the area, NC, NC State, Wake Forest and Duke. All are very unique and special. And damn close to each other. How about that drive from Chapel Hill to Durham, the tree lined route.
