Of course there is.

Having made this bet, you should know as well as anyone, however, that those two categories are not mutually exclusive.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

OK. So can you see that was I have been doing all along is defending my bet/prediction against those who have mocked it? I'm not saying "I was right" or "Give me credit." I'm saying "It was not a far-fetched proposition, especially since I got 10-1. Therefore, calling it a stupid bet is unfair."

Well, all I've been doing all day is calling it stupid.

And wrong. But I've been mostly focusing on the stupid part.

The fact that your otherwise personal bet is out there for discussion is really swell, so we can all take a moment and say thanks for that and move along, but this whole portion of the conversation started with my calling that bet sheer lunacy.

And since the conversation started, the fact that it was sheer lunacy has failed to change, so I (along with just about everybody else, probably) have little idea what you're going for at this point.

Well, at least we know where we disagree. I feel like taking 10-1 on Zanjero to win a Grade I at some point in his career was not a bad bet. You feel, in spite of the fact that horses like Frost Giant are now Grade I winners and that there are more Grade I races than true Grade I horses, that it was not only a bad bet, but "sheer lunacy."

I respect your opinion. I just can't understand why you have it.

You're just failing to grasp the nuance of it, that's why you don't understand it Justin.

I forgive you for that failing.
