"The Eight Bells"

Forgot to post this the other day, but one thing that bothered me on Saturday was the "83rd running of The Eight Belles". It just didn't sound right. If you want to change the name of a race you should start over IMO.

You can't start over on a stake or you lose the grade. The Graded Stakes Committee allows the graded status to remain with renaming provided the conditions remain the same or similar.

what bothers me is that the way you spell it this race would be ungraded...her name was EIGHT BELLES
