I'm a big horse racing guy, but I also enjoy poker, and the revenue our nation is leaving on the table by not legalizing and regulating poker is sick.

when i attempted to open an acct on tvg, it said arkansas wasn't allowed.
i opened a twin spires acct for the video, it didn't say a word about the state where i live. so, does that mean i can wager thru twinspires? or is it up to me, not twin spires, to police myself?

anyone know if you can get in trouble for wagering if it's not allowed by the state, since evidently it's not a federal ban?

Completely depends on the state you are in and the service you use. When I lived in NY, I couldn't open a tvg account either but had twinspires, nyra and capital otb. Now that I live in Virginia I can use my nyra account, but only over the phone, not online.

You can in Texas.
But they usually go after big fish,
not that you are a minnow. But sometimes
the big fish contain lists that have little fish.
My cousin got a bit of a scare. But the list
that was published in the paper did not contain
his name. And the people that did have their name
on the list did not get prosecuted. Only the operator
that got the transactions to go through this state
got prosecuted.
