You're leaving yourself open for some bad jokes with that one.

2nd set Saturday was great, by the way.

I had fun.....but ultimately they are a cover band of themselves. Not for me.

I did discover the best Uncle John's Band ever today......Glens Falls, 5/5/81.....check it out.

They're relatively low considering what some bands charge. Of course, I still have stubs from Dead shows in the early 80s when shows were under $10. I spent less for entire tours ( and I mean.....entire tours ) than a pair of tix costs now.

Entire tours?? Are you implying that you smoked...ahem marijuana cigarettes? Did you partake in tabs of LSD? or maybe even psycadellic mushrooms???

I would have if the internet was around then.

We did watch a lot of sports. Saw the BC from Aqueduct with about ten people in a hotel room in Richmond. Sorry to miss the BC....but the two shows in Richmond in 85 were all-timers.

The Dead were okay...saw them first at the Fillmore East in '68 or '69. They weren't very good. Then in Denver with Flatt and Scruggs, in '72. They were much better. The final time was at the English Town NJ racetrack in '78(?) with Marshall Tucker. 125,000 whacked out people in the mud. 2 mile walk to the venue. Nothing at the concession stands but warm C & C cola. Nasty day.

My Dead days probably died about the time Andy's started.
