When I was in high school I used to umpire Little League games to make a few dollars. It was insane the things parents said and did. These were 11 and 12 year old kids and while it's ok to play to win, they are just kids.

I remember one game especially. The pitcher for one of the teams was obviously gifted (not to mention about 6'0" and 180 pounds). This kid was a 2nd round draft choice of the NY Rangers and played a couple seasons in the NHL. His Mother stood behind the backstop and taunted the opposing players and me for two innings. After three nice conversations, I ejected her from the field.

After the game the kid's mother AND father come at me in the parking lot. MF this and MF that. The father took a swing at me and I did what I had to do.

It's just a game and they're just kids.

Stud: Umpired myself back in the day! Did the kids all the way to high school. They wanted me to do college, but it was too much travel with a family! Really gave me a new appreciation for Baseball though.....
