Didnt Ah Day just run in the carter? If so, that is awfully quick to run him again.
This surface is hard and those turns are tough and on top of that, 9f is three turns. A lot to ask of an older sprinter on two weeks rest. I hope he comes back okay and grabs a share. He has been a nice horse for his connections. |

He did win the Federico Tesio back in his 3YO season, I believe. That's 8.5f, isn't it?

Magnum trains on a 1/2 mile dirt track and David Flores has won a few riding titles at Fairplex, Interesting race.

The only thing I'd say about Ah Day is that the horse has won around two turns before, and with his running style and the Charles Town turns, this race might be right up his alley. I can't say I'm fond of seeing him come back in this spot after his recent injury issues and only two weeks rest, but King Leatherbury's been around forever and probably knows exactly what he's doing.

Big day for the local horses.
Nice to see Commentator just did edge out that Steph Beattie trained horse who had trouble in like 3 different spots...for 4th place. |
