Congrats, Andy. I give NYRA credit with the new approaches to handicapping they are taking and allowing people like me to learn how to become a better handicapper and enjoy this game more.

Harvey Pack will certainly be missed and is cannot be replaced, but I am certain that you three will do an excellent job and take the innovative approach of not only telling who you like in a given race, but, much more importantly, why you like a horse.

Next, I would love to see MSG pick up Trips and Traps so that I can watch those replays on my big screen TV instead of my computer. I know that you guys only get 30 minutes a day on MSG to play the replays of the days races, but it would really be great if they expanded that to 1 hour and showed the headon replays as well. I know that air time is valuable, but it is not like MSG is showing anything else worthwhile.

As much as I love head-on replays, and you know I do, I don't think our viewership would be too strong for a show comprised of them.

We usually do a Trips&Traps segment on " Thoroughbred Weekly. "

Now this.. this is fabulous news all around.

Congrats to Andy on receiving the baton pass as the deserving modern icon for NY racing's fan and wagering community... And to DRF/NYRA for putting this all together. It will be great having the Seminar in the Carousel..

Thanks to Harvey Pack for the warmth, wisdom and generosity for so long.. There won't be another like him. Interviewing him on ATR continues to be one of the greatest thrills I've had doing the show..

I must have missed that... Is there an archive of that interview available?

The Carousel is a great spot for seminars and I'm sure the program will be very good. As I have said several times, NYRA deserves credit for the changes they have made and their coverage of their product.

I was at quite a few of the SIRO's Seminars in like '00, '01, '02, '03 ... they were good stuff.

Harvey was always great on those.

My favorite grouping was the rare one when they'd have Harvey, BTW, and a Ragozin sheet guy on to mix it up and get mocked by BTW.

Harvey's remarkable. I had great fun joking with him. I wish I could remember all the funny things he said but I'll always remember him telling the Maven, who I happen to like a lot, that he sounded like a 900 number.

It's funny how many people misinterpreted how he used to tease me. It's hard to imagine anyone having been more generous to me than Harvey has been for many years.

You can't be for real. It was obvious when Harvey would make a wisecrack towards you that it was all in jest. As I miss Thoughbred Action with Harvey Pack, I'll miss The Siro's Seminars with Harvey Pack. The baton has been passed down and I'm sure you guys will do a great job with the seminars.
